Ken joined the Owen Funeral Home staff in May of 2009.  He has earned degrees at the University of Kentucky (B.A.), Eastern Kentucky University (M.A.), and Ashland Theological Seminary (M.A. and Doctor of Ministry).  He has served at churches in Ohio, Texas, the Cayman Islands and Kentucky and has also taught high school for 19 years.

Ken has been married to his lovely bride, Gretchen, since December 29, 1984.  She enjoys teaching at Riverport Pre-School as a teacher’s assistant.  Ken and Gretchen are the proud parents of two sons, Jonathan and Jeffrey, and enjoy family time on a ski boat, fishing and travelling.

At Owen, Ken provides pastoral care services. As a part of the aftercare services, he leads support groups for newly bereaved families and also serves as a representative to the community.  He is also available to perform funerals for families at their request. 

We are glad Ken has joined our staff to provide “Sincere Service."
