Philip
is a familiar face to many at the Owen Funeral Homes. A part of
the Owen Funeral Home staff since 1967, Philip began his career
at the original location on Virginia Avenue. In 1970, he went to
work at the location on Dixie Highway and now manages the newest
funeral home on Taylorsville Road since its opening in September
2001.
A Lawrenceburg, Kentucky native, Philip graduated
from the Kentucky School of Mortuary Science in Louisville in 1967.
After serving his two year apprenticeship, he became a licensed
funeral director and embalmer in 1970. In 1987, he earned his Life
Insurance License from the state of Kentucky.
Philip is a member of the Masonic Lodge, York Rite
and the Moose Lodge.
As the grandfather of three, father of three and step-father
of three, Philip maintains an active family life with his wife,
Faye.
His dedication to providing genuine concern and quality
service has earned him the trust of the many families he has taken
care of at the Owen Funeral Homes.
