I am so thankful my parents made the very wise, thoughtful, and generous decision to pre-arrange their funerals. I will definitely do this for my children. There is no other place in the world that could help me like all the people at Owens did. Melissa took over and did all the preparations for me, which I could not do myself. Everything was perfect. And the man that made our headstone was perfect also.

Melissa is the best! She answered every question we had from helping us arrange the visitation (because Dennis is a big U of K fan, she suggested changing the casket from a light blue to KY blue which was not available at the time we made prearrangements several years ago). My family lost my baby niece, which was a terrible tragedy. Owen Funeral Home took care of my family like we were apart of the Owen family. Josh was our funeral director and was wonderful. He answered every question we had while we were making the arrangements and answered texts or phone calls quickly for any questions or concerns we had forgot to ask in person. Chaplain Ken performed the service and was also wonderful to work with. He talked to my family to make sure the service was exactly the way we wanted it, which it was. Josh and Ken both have such big hearts and truly care about families whom have just lost a loved one.

"As the anniversary of Bud's death is upon us, I am sure our family is especially now reflecting on a year ago. Although I'm sure it has played over many, many times for us throughout this past year. Kenny, I have to say you were just awesome. Cannot tell you just how appreciated you were. I have said you're definitely walking in your calling. It's difficult to put into words but you knew just what to say and do for us at that time...Your program at Christmas was so very special. How nice of you all to have that. Also thought it was so gracious of you to have Officer Grignon's funeral there like you did. People may not always express to you just how much you have helped them at such a difficult time, but I know there are a lot of grateful people out there."

My family has been a patron since the 70's. Both family members & church friends have used your funeral home for decades. My Mom, a Louisville resident, moved to Illinois 3 years ago. Our journey began with Debra & preplanning Mom's funeral. She was so helpful and considerate. Everything went smoothly. Then after Mom passed away, arrangements were made by Owen FH to bring Mom back to Lou. The two funeral homes worked seamlessly. At the visitation & funeral, our every request was met considerably. Your staff worked and succeeded in helping a difficult time seem calm. Thanks to everyone.

I feel I have a wrapped a lot of presents and they have not gotten to the many who were there for me during the time of Steve's illness and death. THIS IS MY GIFT OF GRATITUDE. So many of you were there for me with words of encouragement, prayers, cards, letters, and service. Always standing by waiting to do what was necessary... even to the extent of brining Steve cool air, when my A/C was not performing well enough, mowing the lawn and even making tuna salad twice because I said I wanted some of the tuna like she made it. During Steve's time in the hospital, I received food, gift cards, rides, and so much more from ACC folks. And on the day of his funeral so many pitched in to make sure everything was just the way He would have wanted. Several church ladies prepared sandwiches and refreshments for those who stayed after the service. Many of Steve's Chicago friends, (29 in number), commented on what a great service it was and the kindness and generosity of HCC folks. I want to thank Pastor Ken for making the service a real celebration of Steve's life. He was such a comfort to me and every time I asked (can we do This or That) he answered "Whatever you want." That's what Pastor Ken does for all of us who need him. And I must mention Gretchen, who keeps track of each of of his flock, she's the greatest. I can't forget to mention Mr. David Owen and his part to make things easier. From the moment Steve was taken to Owen Funeral Home until he made his final farewell, Mr. Owen was there for me and my family. His compassion and integrity in handling everything was so appreciated and still is. Love from the bottom of my heart, Phillis

Just wanted to say that in 1997 my mother was at Owen. Linda Owen helped us with everything and I remember her doing such a personal & great job for us. In May 2021, we lost our Dad....Josh Richardson...another Monroe Cty, Ky guy....He went above and beyond for us...I am so glad to have had him with us for our Dad. Many Thanks to Owen. Sandi Bishop
