...Sincere Service is Our Way of Life

Meet
Yvonne M. Nantz

Funeral Director
yvonne.nantz@owenfuneralhome.com

Yvonne joined the staff of Owen Funeral Home in October, 2002 as a licensed funeral director. A native of Louisville, she has worked in funeral service since 1987. Yvonne completed her education for her license in July 1992 and in July 2000 obtained her certification as a Grief Management Specialist from the American Grief Academy.

She is a volunteer for Hospice of Louisville and has been a Junior Achievement teacher at St. Martha Catholic School for the past 10 years. She has also spent 10 years teaching a class on the value of funeral service and the need for grief support to Senior classes at several Catholic high schools in the area. Yvonne feels that this is a perfect age to inform young adults about the importance of celebrating life through the funeral service and also of supporting those who are grieving from a loss.

Yvonne feels that it is an honor to be a funeral director and have the opportunity to help families during a most difficult time. She feels especially fortunate to be working with the staff at Owen as a family owned and operated funeral home.

In her spare time, she enjoys reading, traveling, and especially dancing. Yvonne married her husband Jim in December 2004 and has four wonderful children; David and his wife Chrissy, Brian, Amy and Jill and two new wonderful stepdaughters Kelly and Shawna, all of whom she and Jim are extremely proud.
