Anthony Ivan Jackson

Anthony Ivan Jackson of Detroit, Michigan passed away on Friday January 14,2022 at the age of 65. Anthony’s last moments were spent with his wife Johnnie and loved ones by his side. Anthony was born in Detroit Michigan on April 3, 1956 to John and Frances Jackson . Anthony was the the youngest of ( 5 ) children. His work ethic and desire to take care of his family led him to enlisting into the United States Marine Corps ending his career as a Private First Class. He later relocated to Louisville Kentucky . This move increased his love for sports and the Louisville Cardinals, if he could’ve been at every game you would probably hear his voice travel like the players up and down the court. Anthony was a true entertainer, he also had a love for Reggae music which was further heightened when he joined “Dem Reggae Bon” a local Roots Reggae band in Louisville Kentucky as the bass player. He also enjoyed fishing and would spend many summer days at McNeely Lake conversing with his friends and family. Anthony was preceded in death by his parents and by his brother; Grady Glenn and sisters ; Beverly Glenn and Joan Glenn . He is survived by his wife Johnnie (Harrison) Jackson; children Antoinette Chinevere (Ron) ,Anthony Ivan Harrison, Christian Darnell Harrison (Bomla), Rhonda Sherwood, and Valencia Jordan; (7) grandchildren; (5) great-grandchildren; (4) nephews (2) nieces; and his sister Jacqueline Scott. Visitation for Anthony is planned for Monday January 24, 2022 from 10 am to 2pm . The visitation will be at Owen Funeral Home located at 5317 Dixie Highway . The funeral service will follow immediately at 2 pm.
