Donald S. Talley Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Donald S. Talley, 64, passed away Saturday March 27, 2021. Donald was an Army veteran and was Baptist by faith. He loved being around people, going to summer camp especially swimming and sitting in the sun all day, listening to his old-time music on WAKY radio, drinking his diet Mountain Dews and going to concerts with Alexandra. He loved the “Kentucky Wildcats” and always listened to the games! Preceded in death by his father Aaron Talley; stepmother Martha (Dockery) Talley and grandmother, Bertha (Mann) Talley. Survived by his brothers, Michael Talley (Bobbie) and Dennis Talley (Sheila Scott); stepmother, Alma (Huber) Talley; one niece, Lindsey Talley; aunt Bobbye Grey; uncles Kenneth Talley and Tom Bozak; many cousins and friends. Would like to give a special thank you to Maggie and Jim Whayne for over 23 years of unconditional love and constant care. Also like to thank Alexandra Alvey for her friendship and companionship to Donald. Thank you to “Country Cousin, Gary Talley” for speaking God’s word today. Many thanks to all of you that cared for Donnie over the years. Funeral services will be Friday April 2, 2021 1:30pm at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway with burial to follow Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation will be Thursday from 4:00-8:00pm and Friday from 11:00-1:30pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the charity of your choice in memory of Donnie.
