Dorothy "Dottie" Louise Radcliffe

DOROTHY, “DOTTIE”, LOUISE RADCLIFFE,95, of Louisville, passed away peacefully on June 17, 2022 She was born Dorothy Louise Thompson on December 23, 1926 to the late Louis and Catherine Niemann Thompson in Shively, Ky. Dottie attended grade school at St. Helen’s and was a graduate of Valley High. She loved dancing and playing the piano for the soldiers. Later in life enjoyed going to weekend yard sales with her sister, Berts. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Wesley Radcliffe and sisters, Edna Hilliard (Eugene) and Alberta Cockriel (Damon). Dorothy is survived by her sister Shirley Kolb (Charles); daughters, Toni Smith and Sherry Varner (Patrick); grandchildren, Craig Smith (Stephannie), Mark Smith (Heather), Scott Lane (Shannon), Amy Flannery (Sean) and Bill Varner; and great grandchildren Chase Smith, Chloe Smith, Gavin Smith, Zachary Smith, Avery Lane, Lilly Lane, Emma Lane, Brittany Flannery, Nathan Varner and Michael Varner; along with her nieces and nephews. Visitation will be on Tuesday, June 21, from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway, Louisville, Ky., with saying of the Holy Rosary at 12:30 pm, followed by her Funeral Service at 1:00 pm. Burial will be at Louisville Memorial Gardens West, 4400 Dixie Highway, Louisville, Ky.
