Gayla Garlana (Cook) Grogg Asher

August 4, 1970 - December 26, 2021

Gayla Garlana (Cook) Grogg Asher of Ekron, KY passed away peacefully and went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday December 26th, 2021, at the age of 51. Gayla also known as “Gigi” to those who knew her and loved her was born on August 4th, 1970, in Louisville, Ky. She loved spending time with her beloved Ronald Walker, son, Eric and her granddaughter, McKenzie. She enjoyed family and made every effort to attend special events for nieces and nephews, crocheting, and music, of which one of her favorite songs was “I can only imagine” by Mercy Me. She was a very compassionate and loving person, who would give anything to anyone who was in need. Being kind and helping others was her life’s work. She would never let anyone go without if she had it to give it was yours. She had a smile that would brighten any room and warm any heart. She had a heart of Gold. She worked at Heaven Hill Distilleries in Payroll. She was formerly employed at Synchrony for over 6 years. She also worked at Battle Creek Public Schools for many years in Michigan. She was strong in her Faith and beliefs in God. She was a member at Assemblies of God in Michigan. She was preceded in Death by her mother Betty Carol Childress, her maternal grandparents Garland and Gertie Lindsey, and paternal grandparents Paul and Ruby Cook. She is survived by the love of her life, Ronald Walker; her son, Eric Grogg (Analise); granddaughter McKenzie Grogg; father, Marvin Cook of Phenix, Va; Sisters, Tammy Cook of Phenix, Va, Terri Ray (Jason) of Vine Grove; brother, Garland Cook (Beth) of Allegan Mi; nieces and nephew, Joshua Cook, Cody Ray, Collin Ray, Cortnie Cook, Sherri Stallard, Kylie Cook, and Rachel Ray; and Special Bonus Mom, Kathy Grogg. Her extended family included the Groggs; Missy, Sean, Sally, Bruce, Mary Therese, Hailey, London, Shane and many others
