Kenneth "Ken" Ray Talley Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Kenneth “Ken” Ray Talley, 86, of Louisville passed away Monday, July 25, 2022 at U. of L. Mary & Elizabeth Hospital. Ken was born November 28, 1935, here in Louisville to his late parents, Richard D. and Bertha (Mann) Talley. Ken is also preceded in death by his wife Diane Kay (Andrews) Talley; five sisters, Ruby Mann (Clarence), Alta Sadler (Ezra), Esther Adams (Ed), Virginia Lucas (Arville) and Dorothy Bernetta Bozak (Tom); four brothers, Raymond Talley, Daniel Talley, Herb Talley and Aaron Talley. Survivors include his three children, Lori Jackson (Ed), Jeff Talley (Carolyn) and Kevin Talley (Brittney); a sister, Barbara Grey; five grandchildren, Michael LeMaster, Alexis Talley, Rachel Jackson, Nathan Jackson and Josie Talley; a great grandchild, Marshall; and many nieces and nephews. Ken’s first job was with Kentucky Balfour where we learned a lot about the printing business. While working at Balfour, he joined the National Guard. Ken then joined the US Army where he was stationed at Frankfurt, Germany and got to tour much of Europe. After returning to Louisville, Ken joined the Jefferson County Police Department until his retirement at the age of 53. In 1965 he married the love of his life Diane Andrews. He went on to enjoy many side ventures including working as a locksmith, installing alarm systems and income tax preparation. Ken’s visitation will be 4:00 – 8:00 PM Thursday and after 12:00 noon Friday. Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Friday at the Owen Funeral Home 5317 Dixie Hwy. with burial next to his wife at Louisville Memorial Gardens West.
