Alex Jeffrey Judd

ALEX JEFFREY JUDD, 14, passed away peacefully surrounded by family and friends on August 9, 2021. He was born on October 6, 2006 in Louisville, Kentucky. Alex was the beloved son of Erica Judd, the most amazing brother to Jonathan and Lillie, and the very best friend to Tim Statts (Brittany). He is sorrowfully missed by all who knew him, especially his Memaw Theresa, Papaw Dale and Grandma Suzy, Aunt Lindsey, Uncle Stephen, and cousin Colton, along with his extended family of Paw-Paw James and Grandma Kathy, Aunt Anna and Uncle Darrick, and his friends and wonderful caretakers at Home of the Innocents. Alex loved listening to his “jams”, playing with and hearing his “fart gun”, and going as fast as he could in his wheelchair. He loved playing toss with balls or stuffed animals, playing his favorite hide-and-seek game “Where’s Alex?”, and causing good-natured mischief with those around him. He loved dressing up for Halloween, in various years dressing up as an army tank driver, a zombie, Marty McFly in the Back to the Future Delorean, Tigger, Darth Vader, Adam West’s Batman and Christian Bale’s Batman. Most importantly, Alex loved everything life brought his way. He made the most of every moment and shared his immeasurable joy within those moments with the world. He was the life of every gathering because every person who knew him thrived in his happiness, his energy, and his love. He demonstrated his love through his beautiful smile, his heart-felt belly laughs and his famous hugs and “squeezes”. Visitation for family and friends will be from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Friday, August 13, 2021, at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway, 40216, and will continue at 9:00 am Saturday, August 14, 2021 at Owen Funeral Home. His funeral service will start at 10:00 am with burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery, 1600 Newburg Road, Louisville, KY 40205. In lieu of flowers, Alex’s loved ones request contributions in Alex’s memory be made to The Home of the Innocents with special notation for the KCPCC unit at https://www.homeoftheinnocents.org/donate-now. We also welcome you to bring a new toy to visitation that will be shared with Alex’s friends at Home of the Innocents.
