Angela (Angelia) "Angie" Gail Parsons

Angela (Angelia) “Angie” Gail Parsons, 68, of PRP, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on Friday, November 28, 2025, in the wee hours of the morning. Angie was born in Louisville, Kentucky, in 1956. She grew up in PRP and graduated from Pleasure Ridge Park High School in 1974 before entering the workforce. Angie was a member of the former Beth Haven Baptist Church. Angie worked 30-plus years at various Louisville McDonald’s having left there as a manager. For a few short years, she pursued supply chain work for a couple of companies. Angie then joined the team at Cox’s Smoker’s Outlet from where she retired in September 2022 after 15 years of service providing inventory control at most all the Cox’s stores. Angie had a soft spot for her furry friends, treating each like the valuable family member they were. Among her favorites were Smokey (cat), Patches (a Dalmatian) and Patches (aka Brown Dog) and a poodle she cared for after her dear friend, Frank, passed away. Everyone who knew Angie experienced her generosity and had a keen awareness of how much she liked to shop, visit thrift stores, and give surprises to those in her circle. Angie was certain she knew just what each person needed, would buy those items, and give or re-gift them to that person. After retirement, she thoroughly enjoyed taking lunch to her friends at Cox’s, referring to the stores by the number just like everyone knew where that particular store was located. Angie enjoyed texting, playing video games, going to new places, eating out with her sister, and spending time with Jax and Fox. Angie was preceded in death by her parents, Thelma Caudill York (1997), and A.C. York (2000), her brother, Charles Wayne York (2022), both sets of grandparents as well as several aunts, uncles, and cousins. Angie is survived by her sister, Paula York Limato (Paul), niece, Rebekah Tessitore (Vincent), and nephew, Jamie Limato (Jessica); great nieces and nephews, Vellani, Stella, Tyson, Hudson, Addison, and Elleson as well as one aunt, Freda Walker and many cousins. Owen Funeral Home on Dixie Highway is supporting the family. A memorial/celebration of life will be held at a date in the future. Final interment at that later date will be at Evergreen Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Angie’s memory to the American Cancer Society or to the Kentucky Humane Society.
