Elliot Daniel Bartusek-Chaney

It is with many tears and heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our precious boy, Elliot Daniel Bartusek Chaney. He was born October 15, 2012, in PA and entered into heaven on Jan 12 2021. He was the son of Craig Chaney and Ashley Bartusek and the brother of Sonny Craig Bartusek Chaney. He was the grandchild of Phil and Barb Chaney, Dan and Peggy Bartusek, and the great grandchild of Dan and Diane Bartusek. He is also left by his uncle Phil, aunt Britney and cousin Ryan, his aunt and uncle Kris and Bob Maxwell, Renee and Stan Budzelik, Heather Maxwell, his aunt and uncle Amy and Joe Skursky, his cousins, Joey, Jessie, Max, Mason,and Maggie, And we can’t forget his three aunties, Alexa, Arika and Anessa. They not only kept him in line but they were his go-to girls. Our Elliot was a special child. He was a non verbal autistic child who faced challenges but never stopped smiling and stole everyone’s heart who met him. He was a beautiful boy who looked like a cherub from day one. He loved simple things. If you gave him a bottle of soda, some coins, a block or two, his Ipad, and his all time favorite, ramen noodles, he was set for the day. He was cherished and loved by his parents who had dedication, loyalty, and patience more than words can say and they took care of him better than any parents could. He went to Goldsmith School and Therapy where he had friends and was adored by his teachers, buddies, and even the bus helpers. He adored swimming and loved to lay on his sky view swing that Nan and Pop bought him. Every summer he visited Kentucky Kingdom with his season pass and never missed a trip to the ocean in Wildwood, New Jersey. He loved his calming walks in his red wagon with Grandpa Dan. They’d be gone for miles. His Gram will always treasure the way he sat for his haircuts, that gorgeous head of curls. He liked to feed his doggies, Ansel and Chewy, wrestle with Sam and liked to dance and jump while listening to the singing walrus. He will be sadly missed by his little brother, Sonny. They were typical boys, hugging then fighting. All of our family will always be devastated over this loss, and will never ever be the same. Especially his loving mother, Ashley. Elliot would kiss her head and smile at her and talk to her in his special way that only she understood. He also was a daddy’s boy. He loved him so much he would cry at the window when he left for work. It’s a true testament of the bond they all had. We feel like God gave us a gift for eight years and that he was needed back up in heaven, where we know he’s talking his head off. Life now will always be dimmer and we will be heartbroken but heaven is now brighter and our Elliot’s always safe and at peace. We would like to thank everyone who has been in his life and who has helped him along the way. Thank you Miss Romau, and her assistants. Thank you to the staff at the Kids Center, especially Jayme Crone , who made him feel like a rockstar. Thank you to the medical team who helped him. Thanks for the kindness of all who entered into his world. We want to thank Owen Funeral Home for helping us through this difficult time. Services will be held Monday January 18 from 2 to 8. Funeral will be Tuesday morning at Owen funeral 5317 Dixie highway Burial will follow at Bethany Memorial Cemetery 10917 Dixie Highway. Words cannot express how much we miss you, El. Our hearts are broken and filled with sorrow. But know how much you are loved and we will see you again, our boy Xoxoxo
