Joseph Montgomery Morris

Joseph Montgomery Morris, 29, of Louisville KY, passed away, July 29, 2022. Joe was born in Louisville KY, July 2, 1993, to his parents Steve and Linda Roselle Conrad Morris and his big brother Chris who he adored. He was a proud Butler High School graduate and was attending Campbellsville University, just a few classes shy of earning his degree in Social Science. He was a loving and compassionate man who only wanted to help others succeed. He was a resident manager for Beacon House where he was loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. To know Joe was to love Joe. The room was always brighter when he was around. If you were lucky enough to be his friend, he was your friend for life and would always have your back. He was a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church and a former member of Mary Queen of Peace. He attended St Helen's and Notre Dame Academy. Besides his family and friends Joe had his fiancé Andrea Matthews, the love of his life, who gave him so much love and happiness in their short time together. Joe also had a special place in his heart for his future mother in law, Debbie Matthews who loved to cook for him and Joe Angilella who was his mentor and dearest friend. Joe was blessed to have them in this life. Joe loved the outdoors, especially hiking at Red River Gorge and Bernheim Forest with Andrea and Tig. He was a big fan of the Broncos and the KY Wildcats. His family and friends meant everything to him and he loved and cared for each one of them very deeply. He is preceded in death by his paternal grandfather Jerry Morris, step grandmother Joyce Mayberry Morris, his maternal grandmother, Delores Montgomery Conrad, step grandfather John Conrad, and grandfather Stuart Lee Roselle. Joseph is survived by his parents Linda and Steve; brother, Christopher, sister in law Soraya Ali Morris, niece, Mia; and his beloved dog, Tig. A funeral mass will be held Tuesday, August 2, 10:00am, at Mary Queen of Peace Catholic Church, 4005 Dixie Highway, Louisville KY, 40216. Visitation will be held on Monday, August 1, 12:00pm-8:00pm, at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway, Louisville KY, 40216. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Beacon House.
