Louis Calvin Beck III

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Louis C. Beck III, who left this world on October 21, 2024, at the age of 60. Born on April 13, 1964, and raised in Louisville, KY, Louis lived a life full of love, laughter, and treasured moments with family and friends. Louis proudly served his country in the U.S. Army, where he worked as a tanker. His dedication to service and country was a defining part of his character, and he carried that sense of duty with him throughout his life. After his military service, Louis became a skilled diesel mechanic, spending many years at Shively Truck Service, where he was respected and admired by his colleagues for his hard work and expertise. His greatest pride and joy was his family. He was a devoted father to his son, Brandon Beck, and cherished his role as "Papaw" to his beloved grandchildren, Henry and Lottie Beck. Louis was always present for his family, never missing an opportunity to support them at their sporting events or share in their milestones. His unwavering love for his family will always be remembered. Louis was preceded in death by his father, Louis C. Beck Jr., but is survived by a large and loving family, including his mother, Judy Horine (Mike); Paula Beck; son Brandon Beck (Allie); grandchildren Henry and Lottie; siblings Steve Keith (Lee Anna), Trina Keen (Mike), Gerri Smith, Kevin Beck (Leisa), and Kim Ash (Kenny); and a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family members. In his free time, Louis loved Nascar racing, attending car shows, and spending time with his many friends. He could often be found at The Well, also known as Sister Beans, enjoying good coffee and conversation. His friends and family will always remember his warmth, kindness, and infectious laughter. Louis loved to travel and sightsee, creating cherished memories along the way. He lived a life full of love and dedication to the people he cared about most. His legacy of love and devotion will continue to shine through those he leaves behind. Throughout his medical journey, Louis received many life-saving procedures made possible by the selfless generosity of organ donors. In return, Louis was also an organ donor, committed to helping others in need even in his passing. In honor of his legacy, his family encourages everyone to consider becoming an organ donor and giving the gift of life. Rest in peace, Louis. You will be forever missed, but never forgotten.
