Madaline "Louise" Merideth

Madaline “Louise” Merideth, 85, was welcomed into the open and loving arms of Jesus on February 18, 2024. Born on May 3,1938 to William Boerner McNulty and Madeline Crabtree McNulty, Louise was the second of five children. She was preceded in death by her siblings Billy McNulty, Joyce Ann Mills, and Shaaron Rose Cannon, as well as her son-in-law, Jeff Gish. Louise is survived by her husband, Robert “Bob” Merideth, Sr., son Robert “Bobby” Merideth, Jr. (Crissy), daughters Becky Haaff (Steve), and Vicky Gish. She is also survived by grandchildren Stevie Haaff (Alicia), Ben Haaff (Courtney), Adam Haaff, Ashley Gish (Ryan), Robby Merideth (Maddie), Laney Merideth, and five great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Vivian Majors, her sister-in-law, Brenda Stewart (Jerry), brother-in-law, Bernie Cannon, Sr., and a host of nieces and nephews. Louise was a passionate Christian, often sharing her smiley-face drawings with the words, “Smile, Jesus loves you, and so do I!” She was also very involved in her home church, Ormsby Heights Baptist, where she was a long-standing member of more than 60 years, teaching Sunday School and leading Girls in Action and Acteens. She also worked with the college and career-aged group, assisted with new membership, and prepared communion for many years. She fervently loved the Lord, her church, and her family and friends. Much of Louise’s career was spent in real estate, where she took great pride in assisting people in finding just the right house. Additionally, through the years, she worked as an administrative assistant at both Commonwealth Insurance and General Electric. She also taught kindergarten and worked as a teacher assistant at a public high school. In most recent years, one of her favorite activities was spending time with her husband and their numerous friends at the peddlers mall. Visitation will take place at Owen Funeral Home on Thursday, February 22 from 4:00-8:00, and on Friday, February 23 from 10:00-noon with a celebration of life service beginning at noon. Interment will immediately follow at Louisville Memorial Gardens West. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Ormsby Heights Baptist Church or the Alzheimer’s Foundation.
