Mary S. Beasley

Mary S. Beasley, 94 of Louisville, returned to her heavenly father on Thursday, June 26, 2025, at Norton’s Women and Children’s Pavillion. She was a member of Parkland Baptist Church from the time she was born and became a charter member of Chapel Park Baptist Church in 1961, and was the treasure at the church for many years, she loved to tell people about her savior, with the hope that they could find a relationship with God, like she had. Joyce loved to travel especially out west , where she enjoyed most of all, and she never met a stranger, she felt that she was always among friends that she just had never met before. She had a huge love for her jewelry and proudly wore bling, and supported her Kentucky Wildcats. She also enjoyed cheering her favorite saddle breed, at a good horse show, where you could hear her yelling “Rack ON!” for her pick at the horse show. She had encouraging, and supporting words for everyone and truly, loved to help anyone that would let her, always putting others before herself. Joyce couldn’t get enough music from her favorite tenor, Ronan Tynon- she could listen to him for days. She retired as an executive assistant from DuPont. If you knew her you had a chance to visit a real angelic spirit right here on earth. The kind that preachers always talk about, truly. To know her was a special blessing to all, she will be missed and will never be forgotten. Joyce is preceded by, her husband, Kenneth Douglas Beasley; parents, Marvin and Mabel Slack; brother, William H. Slack. She leaves to cherish her memory, her sister, Ramona Tucker of Peachtree City, GA; three ladies that she thought of as her heart nieces, Jeanine , Maria and Leslie ; nieces and nephews, Deigh, Beverly, Teresa, Sandi, Glenda, Diane, Janice, Lesley, Lisa, Phillip and David; three children, she considered, her god children, Kendahl, Mason, Stella and Jordan, and a host of other family and friends. Poem by, Victor Hugo Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, July 1, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at Owen Funeral Home – 5317 Dixie Highway in Louisville, Kentucky with Rev. Mike Butler officiating. Burial will follow at Resthaven Cemetery at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday Visitation will be Monday, June 30, 2025, 12:00 p.m. till 7:00 p.m., and Tuesday 9:00 a.m. until service time, at the funeral home.
