Mary Woehler

Mary (Terry) Woehler 84 went to be with Jesus on Sunday April 2nd, 2023. Mary was born on April 6, 1939 to Lawrence and Mary Terry. Some of her fondest memories were of taking trips with her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed going to see Ray Price concerts with her husband of 57 years Carl. She also enjoyed strolling the grounds of Saint Meinrad and going to Renfro valley to hear southern Gospel music with her son Steve and husband Carl . She had a wonderful sense of humor and was quick with a quip. She called herself silly but we told her we loved her that way. Mary was humble ; she didn't see how beautiful she was. She didn't know how wise she was or feel how strong she was. She was a beautiful and gentle soul. She had a beautiful loving heart and she was a safe place for the people that she loved. Anyone that was loved by her knew that no matter what they had done or how lost they got she would always be there with her love. Her softness was her strength. No matter how fragile, broken, or damaged you were, even if your heart was made of fractured glass, you knew that you could go to her and be safe. You knew that she was soft enough and gentle enough to hold your heart. Nothing could make her love you any less. Hers was a love that you didn't have to fear to lose, it came with no conditions, no expectations. She simply loved you as you were. Her love was a gift and a blessing to anyone fortunate enough to receive it. That love was one of her greatest strengths , it was a beauty that time and age and even death couldn't take from her. It lives on in the hearts and minds of the ones she loved. Her last wish was that all her family members know how much she loved them. She is preceded in death by her Grandparents Mary and Andrew Schmuckie, her parents Mary and Lawrence Terry and a granddaughter Laura Klotz; her sister Gloria (Terry) Tilton, and her brother Mike Smith. She is survived by her husband of 56 years William Carl Woehler; Seven children, Robert Brunton Jr. (Melissa), Steve Brunton, Deborah (Brunton) Klotz (Rick), Keith Woehler (Tammy), Ray Woehler (Cathy), Carla (Woehler) (Steve), Crocket, Dana (Woehler) Balenti (Vince); brothers, Andrew Smith, Lawrence Terry Jr., Steve Terry, Marty Terry; sisters, Cathy Smith, Mary Ellen Smith, Lorrain Terry, Rose Anne Terry, and Connie Terry; Sixteen Grandchildren, Jesse, Emily, Caroline, Josh, Rachel, Katie, Ethan, Robert, Grant, Grayson, Billy, Brian, Jackie, Stephanie, Chris, Bradley. and 17 Great Grandchildren. She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed. There will be a graveside service at 2:00pm on Friday April 7,2023 at Louisville Memorial Garden West.
