Dennis Stewart Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Dennis Stewart, 76, of Prospect KY, passed away, July 20th, 2022. Dennis was born in Louisville KY, June 19th, 1946. Graduated from Dupont Manuel High School class of 1964. Dennis went onto enlist and proudly serve in the United States Airforce. Dennis spent his life enjoying time on Paramont Farm as the general manager. He was an employee of Jim Brown, under Paramont ltd. for 40 years and was considered a loyal, honest and dedicated employee and friend. He was a member of the NRA, the American Legion, relished hunting, fishing and had a talent for handicapping horse races. Dennis could be found spending some quiet time in his garden. He loved his family and the time he spent with them and was a faithful friend. Dennis was preceded in death by his parents Charles and Charlene Mitchell and Stanley Stewart. Survived by his beloved life partner, Deborah Watson; his children, Darren Stewart (Venessa), Sarah Camile Mosley (Shane), Mitchell Stewart and Jessica Greer; 8 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, siblings; Imogene Mosser, Mike Mitchell (Jackie), Diane Jordan (Sonny), and Kathy Willard (Jeff) and many loving family, friends and extended family. The family requests in lieu of flowers, donations be made in his memory to the local chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association or St. Jude, StJude.org, Humane Society of Oldham County, P O Box 727, La Grange, KY 40031. Visitation will be held, Tuesday, August 9th, 12:00pm-1:30pm, at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway, Louisville KY, 40216. A Committal Service with Honor Guard will take place the same day, 2:30pm, at Kentucky Veteran Cemetery Central, 2501 N Dixie Blvd, Radcliff KY, 40160.
