Eric Todd Smallwood Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Eric Todd Smallwood, 52, of Louisville KY, passed away, October 9th, 2021. Eric was born April 20th, 1969, in Louisville KY, to his parents Janice Rae Smallwood and Archie R. Smallwood. He enjoyed working at Showcase Cinema, where he made many lifelong friends. Eric loved writing and spent a lot of time working on scripts for movies and plays. He was a faithful member of Eastland Church of Christ and loved all his spiritual brothers and sisters in Christ. Eric also took great pride in his work as a counselor at Brooklawn Youth Center, he touched many lives and was always available to provide support and counsel. Most of all he adored spending time with his grandchildren. He loved his play times with each of his precious grandbabies any and every time he had the chance. He truly loved his family and friends and his legacy will be remembered and cherished forever. He was preceded in death by his mother, Janice Smallwood. He is survived by his beloved wife, Rebecca Smallwood and his children, Ashley Slone, and Jonathan Smallwood. His grandchildren, Skylair Smallwood, Isabella Healey, Catrina Healey, and Harley Slone. His father, Archie R. Smallwood and brother, Aaron Smallwood. Visitation and service will be at Owen Funeral Home – 5317 Dixie Highway, Louisville KY on Thursday, October 14th. Visitation will be held from 10:00am to 2pm with service to immediately follow and begin at 2pm until 3pm. Family will immediately proceed to graveside in Leitchfield Ky.
