Letting Go The angels gather near your bed, so very close to you. For they knew the pain and suffering that you were going through. I thought so many things, as I held tightly to your hand. Oh how I wished that you were strong and healthy once again. But your eyes were looking homeward, to the place beyond the sky. Where Jesus held his outstretched arms, it was time to say goodbye. I struggled with selfish thoughts, for I wanted you to stay. So we could walk and talk again, like we did - just yesterday. But Jesus knew the answer, and I knew he loved you so. So I gave you life's greatest gift, the gift of letting go. Now my heart will carry memories, of the love you gave to me until we meet again in heaven, where the best is yet to be. - Unknown Author Linda Sue Francis, 67, of Louisville KY, passed away, April 22nd, 2022. Linda was born October 2nd, 1954, in Bonnieville KY, to her parents Martha and John Dixon. After high school, Linda decided to focus on giving back to those who needed help. She began a career in the nursing field, working in a nursing home helping nurture those who could not take care of themselves. She was always caring for someone. Linda was a compassionate and giving soul. She volunteered for the soup kitchen and clothing pantry at St. Stephen Church. She loved to cook and did so for everybody. She was a loving mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, and a devoted friend. Preceded in death by her mother and father, brothers John Dixon, Mitchel Dixon, and Sister Alice Davis. Linda is survived by her children, Lucinda Francis, and John D. Francis (Keela) ; 12 grandchildren; 6 Great grandchildren; 4 Brothers; and 2 Sisters.
