Rose Allen

July 29, 1945 - May 13, 2022

Rose Allen, 76, of Louisville KY, passed away, May 13th, 2022, surrounded by her loving family. Rose was born in Glasgow KY, July 29th, 1945, to her parents Mary and John Wilson. She was one of 14 children. After high school, Rose went on to meet the love of her life Larry Allen and together they started a beautiful family. Rose was a proud homemaker and would let everyone know that her family was her number one priority. She did everything in her power to provide love and support to them. Her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren were her world. She attended all functions her grandchildren and great grandchildren participated in. She was compassionate and giving, she always donated soap and supplies to southwest ministries. She was preceded in death by her husband of over 50 years, Larry Allen parents, Mary and John Wilson; one brother; and two sisters. She is survived by her loving daughters, Alysa Kamenish, Lori Johnson (Eddie), Belinda White (Jamey); 6 grandchildren, John Herbert (Megan), Aaron Herbert (Brittni), Blake Johnson, Whitney Abell (Mark), Zach Johnson, Caitlin White; great grand kids, Allie, Sadie, Kolton, George, and Grayson; 6 brothers; 4 sisters; and many extended family. Donations can be made in her memory to Southwest Ministries, Southwest Community Ministries 8504 Terry Road, Louisville, KY 40258. Service will be held on Thursday, May 19th, 11:00am, at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway, Louisville KY, 40216. Visitation will be held on Wednesday May 18th, 2:00pm-8:00pm, at the funeral home.
