Thomas A. Bell

Thomas Andrew Bell, 60 years old, of Louisville, KY, formerly of Milwaukee, WI, gained his angel wings on January 14, 2024. Survived by his best friend and wife of 40 years, Lynne (Nee Schisel), children Anthony (Kristen Oetken), Brittany (Jacob Hazel), and 3 precious grandchildren Landon, Elena, Sophia, and baby Bell expected March 2024. Brothers Robert of KY, Douglas SR of WI, sister Susan Konkel of WI. Sister in laws Susan Borgeson of MA, Bonnie Mixdorf of WI, Karen Wilson of TN. Brother in laws Mark Schisel of TN, William Schisel of KY. Also, many nieces and nephews, friends, and business associates. He was proceeded in death by his parents Claude William Jr. and Jacqualyn Bell, Brother David Bell. Tom was a 1981 graduate of Milwaukee Boy’s Tech where he was a member of the swim team winning multiple championships. Active in Boy Scout’s many years where he earned the rank of Eagle Scout. Tom was a passionate businessman where he was founder and President of Nature’s Mulch and Landscape Supply. Previously he ran a landscape company for over 20 years that he and his son Anthony started and was a local grocery manager for 25 years. Tom had a very strong business mind and truly enjoyed his work. His love was in helping others become successful. He was an avid Green Bay Packer fan enjoying many NFL games, including their Super Bowl win in 2011, with family and friends; and enjoyed his lake and boat time calling it his “place of peace”. Tom was known to have the largest and best 4th of July firework display on Holder Road. His greatest joy was his family, he truly adored his children, their spouses, and our grands. Anthony was his close friend and GB Packer Buddy. Brittany was his little butterfly that always enjoyed fun and laughter, sharing time at the lake with dad. Tom was extremely proud to see his children earn college degrees. His grandson Landon became his close “buddy” that enjoyed his time with Grandpa. They shared a very special bond, handshake, and lake music. Granddaughter Elena, his first princess, loved to snuggle and had a sweet smile and love for Grandpa. Granddaughter Sophia, his 2nd princess, was his little firecracker, always with a big smile and being a jokester with Grandpa. Services will be at Owen Funeral Home at 9318 Taylorsville Road on Saturday January 20, 2024. Viewing will be 10 am to 1 pm with a celebration of life at 1 pm. To honor his wishes, cremation was chosen. In lieu of flowers, Tom asked if you consider becoming an organ donor. Tom was able to donate his corneas. There is no greater gift than the gift of life. Plan to come and share your story or special memories of Tom. The Bell family would like to thank everyone for their support and love during these last 6 months. Especially to the Selby family – Evan, DeNishia and Matthew. Evan was like a son to Tom. They shared a very close business and personal relationship. As Tom believed – Dream on ….
