Edwinna (Ford) Quiggins

Edwinna (Ford) Quiggins, 96, passed away surrounded by her family on July 10, 2026, in Louisville, Kentucky. She was born in Grayson County, Kentucky, on April 8, 1930, to her late parents, Amanda (Landrum) and Edgar Ford. She was a woman of deep faith whose love for Jesus Christ served as the foundation of her life. A devoted member of Parkwood Baptist Church, she found strength, comfort, and fellowship through her church family. She was also a proud member of the Eastern Star of Louisville. Her strong work ethic was evident throughout her career, retiring from Sears and Roebuck after 20 years of dedicated service. She found great joy in life's simple pleasures, especially sewing, shopping, and always taking pride in looking her very best. Known for her impeccable style, she was often remembered as the best-dressed person in the room. She was an exceptional cook whose meals brought family together and created countless cherished memories around the table. Affectionately known as "Memaw" by her grandchildren, she cherished every moment spent with them and took great pride in their lives and accomplishments. Above all, her family was her greatest blessing, and she found her deepest happiness in loving and supporting them every step of the way. Edwinna is preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 73 years and the love of her life, Herbert Wayne Quiggins; granddaughter, Amber Michelle Johnson; brother, Terrance “Pete” Ford; and sisters, Maxine Westerfield, Ramona Temple Fowler, Marion “Shorty” Oller, Jeneane Walker, and Laura Morgan. She will be lovingly remembered by her daughters, Jacqueline DeMarsh (Joseph) and Jennifer Berry (Jimmy); grandchildren, Brooke Kincheloe (Jon), Brandon Johnson, Jordan Goff (Eric), and Lucas Nalley; and great-grandchildren, Kameron and Benjamin Johnson, Charlie and Hunter Kincheloe, Truitt “T.W.” and Winnie Goff. Her funeral services will be provided by Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Hwy. The visitation will be on Wednesday, July 15, 2026, from 4:00 to 8:00 PM, and Thursday, July 16, 2026, from 11:00 to 1:00 PM. The service will follow the visitation on Thursday, starting at 1:00 PM. The burial will take place at Beth Haven Cemetery after the service. The family would like to extend special thanks to the caregivers of Symphany of Valley Farms.
