Sharon Ruth Myers

Sharon Ruth Myers, age 80, passed away peacefully on July 21, 2026, leaving behind a lifetime of love, laughter, and treasured memories. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, cousin, and friend whose kindness and generosity touched everyone she met. Sharon is survived by her beloved husband, Joe Myers; her daughter, Leslie Mosher; her son, Joey Myers (Lavina); her cherished grandson, Nathan Myers; along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends who will forever hold her memory close to their hearts. She was preceded in death by her mother, Norma Phillips; her father, Rowland Phillips; her brother, Butch Phillips (Donna); her sisters, Claudia Perkins, Susie Davis, and Holly Taylor (Bob). Sharon lived life with enthusiasm and an adventurous spirit. She loved trying new things and was always ready for the next adventure. She never met a stranger and had a remarkable way of making everyone feel welcomed and valued. She was a devoted football fan who could always be heard cheering for her team with her beloved bell. Christmas was her favorite time of year, and she happily started shopping in August each year to make sure everyone she loved had the perfect gift. She had a famous sweet tooth and could never resist a Hershey's bar. Whenever Sharon traveled, she always brought souvenirs home for family and friends because she was constantly thinking of others. She was caring, dedicated, and completely devoted to her family, always putting those she loved first. Those who knew Sharon often joked that she never slept because she was always busy taking care of others, planning her next adventure, or preparing for another holiday celebration. Sharon's love, generosity, laughter, and adventurous spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of everyone who knew her. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness, selflessness, and unconditional love that will never be forgotten. As we say goodbye, we make one final promise to Sharon: we will keep being sweet, precious, and adorable—just as she was. We know she would be smiling, and that promise will forever remind us of the joy, laughter, and love she brought into our lives. Her funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 28, 2026, at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway, with burial at Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation will be from 2:00 – 7:00 p.m. Monday at Owen Funeral Home. Those we love don't go away; they walk beside us every day.
